Great book, with a good selection of Christmas music!
Level I would say is intermediate.
Liked listening to the songs in the CD and also having the opportunity to play with the accompaniment.

Bought this book at the end of the Christmas season, so haven't used it much yet. Still, I judge a play-along primarily by the CD accompaniment since the musician can make adjustments to the solos to fit their style. This CD is peppy and fun. Most of the songs would be challenging for a beginner student who might not be ready for four sharps and syncopated rhythms; but following along with the demo tracks could enhance learning.
